Walk the elevated corridor at Wild Elephant Valley to spot Asian elephants across the rainforest and enjoy the signature 'elephant meal'. In the afternoon try Dai papermaking or pottery at Manzhang Village, then browse the Mekong Star Night Market in the evening.

Follow local guides into the Jinuo Mountain rainforest for a ~5km trek with a wild 'green leaf' banquet, stone painting and jungle wildlife spotting. Wear comfortable, non-slip shoes.
